While we all love a good costume party, we tend to be minimalists when it comes to Halloween. So we did not make plans to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney on October 31. However, when we began hearing such great things about it from friends who had been and when the other family members made plans to attend, we did not want our kids to miss out. We are so thankful that the grandparents offered to take our kids to Mickey's party for us while we stayed back to make preparations for our little boy's birthday the follow day.
The cousins went with C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe as their costume theme. The kids' paternal grandmother made the older girls Queen Lucy and Queen Susan costumes and purchased King Peter and Kind Edmund costumes for the older boys.
The twins continued the royal theme in their Belle dresses made by Grandma. The Toy Story loving youngest went as Zurg.
I really did not expect the kids to last too long out late that night after a full day at Animal Kingdom and assumed the grandparents would bring them back to the condo around 10:00 pm at the latest. Our son was so excited about his birthday the following day that he did not crash until they were on the ferry on the way back.

They rolled in around midnight. The kids were still up early the next day ready for a fun day at Hollywood Studios.
