Hambone, Hambone

I think I just set a record for the longest amount of time between blog posts.  I promised myself, "No blogging until taxes are filed."  Plus, we had a busy weekend with a fabulous mother/daughter book club meeting (which was more like a lavish party), our daughter's birthday party, church duties, and our kids' recent enrollment in children's choirs.  Since my children love to watch me beat rhythms from my mouth while doing the hand jive, I thought I would elaborate on a few of these excuses for not posting recently to the tune and rhythm of the Hambone hand jive (click here for original lyrics).  I have tried to keep as many of the original lyrics as possible.

Where you been?

Hosting a party in a horse's pen.

What did you do when you came back?

Stayed up late working Turbo Tax.

Pops bought our girl doll's riding gear. 

As if those doll clothes weren't enough,

She got other American Girl stuff.

She got cool crafts and classic books,
