Happy Father's Day to the remarkable father of our two kids (and now two
pets) whom I love so much that I did the unthinkable for him...I got
him a loathsome kitten for Father's Day.
For Father's Day this year, I wanted to get my husband something he's wanted since the day we got married, a cat. The kids pitched in and each paid 20% of the adoption fees for a kitten for their dad, although the kids have spent far more time playing with that cat than their dad has. My next post will tell the story of how we ended up with this particular kitten and share lots of cute pictures of the kitten and the evolving relationship between the kitten and our rabbit.
The kids also gave their dad an Armor All car car kit and then washed his car by hand as has become their tradition on Father's Day. I threw in some orthopedic equipment to help his shoulder heal and to help ward off migraine headaches. Gifts become practical like that as we age, but this kitten is anything but practical.
Top right: Our pets aren't quite friends yet, so family pictures feel like a game of Battle of the Sexes/Species.

Bottom row: If the kitten is their dad's Father's Day gift, why is he holding the bunny in these pics? Our daughter won't let go of the kitten!
We also celebrated Father's Day early at my parents' house as we also celebrated my dad's birthday. Recall the following Father's Day pictures from a previous post.
