Going to a corn maze each fall together as a family is probably one of our corniest family traditions. We kept trying to go all September, but scheduling conflicts kept causing us to postpone it. By the last weekend in September, we were determined to finally go and even had friends who were willing to join us in all the cheesiness that corn mazes bring.
However, rainstorms soaked the area the night before, and the forecast called for rain all that day. We cancelled our plans with our friends early that morning. When I called the corn maze, the maze representative insisted it was not raining, and we could see up to a two hour clearing on the weather radar. So, we rushed over for a wet adventure, with the hope that the rain would hold off for at least a little while. Before we were even out of our neighborhood, it had begun to rain again, and by the time we approached the farm, the rain was pouring.
We hemmed and hawed but eventually determined that we had come this far, so we could not turn back now.

I digitally modified the sign a bit to reflect weather conditions.

At least the corn pit was sheltered from the rain

These goats gave us some fierce stares.

I loved watching the kids help each other up onto these haystacks and then take flying leaps together.
