Wolf Party & Church Fall Festival

Last Saturday was filled with sugar and excitement for the kids.  Our first stop was a birthday party for our daughter's classmate.  Interestingly, the party had a wolf theme since the birthday girl is fascinated by wolves.  The girls enjoyed tasty wolf cake, learned to distinguish between different wolf calls and their meanings, made origami wolves, and got their faces painted like wolves.  Meanwhile, the younger brothers had a play date of their own.

There was also a pinata at the party.  Since enrolling our daughter into school, we have discovered a fiercely competitive side to her personality that was not as apparent before.  So, given her "I can do all things or else through Christ" mantra, I guess it was fitting that she would be the one to bust open the pinata.
We rushed from the party to our church fall festival where our daughter had planned to wear a 50's girl costume. However, she did not want to wipe off all the wolf face paint, so she ended up dressing as a "Wolf in a pink poodle skirt" instead.  And I can assure you there were no duplicates of this costume at the festival which hosted over 1000 kids.  Our son dressed as a pirate.  Here are a few layouts for the kids' scrapbooks.
