School Outing at the Lake

On a surprisingly mild and gorgeous day in September, one of our school's board members rented a shelter at a lake we have never had the privilege of visiting, brought his boat to share, and invited the entire school's families over for an afternoon of outdoor fun.  We didn't know anyone who would be there, nor did we know who had planned the event, but we're so glad we met.  A number of families from my STEM GEMS classes were there, so it was nice to meet the students' families. They gave me lots of positive feedback, which I gladly welcomed not knowing if anyone appreciated all my efforts or if I was even on the right track with it.

The kids had a blast boating and tubing, and it was just such a lovely day to enjoy the sun setting over the water.  Each family brought food to share, so it was quite a tasty potluck dinner.

 We truly are blessed to have such a loving school family.
